Tag Archives: Les Flâneurs

The French poet Baudelaire first conceived the Flâneur as a ‘stroller’ who makes observations of the city, uncovering revelations of its inhabitants and culture. But while Baudelaire’s creation was masculine and alone, we feel the modern Flâneur is male and female, old and young, and often in groups. We would like to put a vote of encouragement towards people taking the time to enjoy their city, by celebrating this behavior on our blog, and opening it up to outside contributions.

At the beginning of each week we will publish a photo. If you have a picture you have taken to contribute, please send it to me, along with a short description. We’ll post the best ones each week and credit you for your contribution.

Take time to discover your city
